Towndoor supports HTAFC Foundation

Towndoor will once again be supporting the Huddersfield Town AFC Foundation by taking part in their It’s a Knockout day on Friday 9th June.

A Towndoor team took part last year and finished in a superb 2nd place out of 12 local teams, raising over £2500 for the charity.

The day will see teams of 10 take part in silly challenges based on the classic TV show, with lots of water, plenty of foam and multiple silly costumes, with the victors claiming the coveted Cheggers It’s a Knockout gold trophies.

Speaking about the event and the foundation, Towndoor Managing Director and team captain Dan Bamforth said: “We had a great time at the event last year and when asked if we wanted to have a team in the event again, it was an emphatic yes.”

“The Huddersfield Town Foundation does some amazing things within our community for young people and we will continue to support them as best we can. This year we are hoping to win but importantly, help raise them as much money to continue their amazing work.”

Huddersfield Town Foundation, set up by Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle, works towards raising as much money as possible to fund breakfast projects for children in the Huddersfield area who would normally go without, with last year’s event seeing them raise over £20K.
