We’re thrilled to showcase another one of our amazing tenants – Curated Jiu Jitsu, now on their third lease with us! We recently caught up with Jamie Paxman, Director of Curated Jiu Jitsu Huddersfield, to hear more about their journey and growth.
Curated Jiu Jitsu Huddersfield, our Jiu Jitsu haven, took root in late 2017 at Brockholes Village Hall, a modest beginning to test the waters. Within six months, we outgrew our humble beginnings, prompting the quest for a dedicated space.
Jiu Jitsu, a martial art emphasising ground combat and submission holds, has become the heart of our community.
We firmly believe in the profound impact of Jiu Jitsu, not just physically but also mentally, instilling invaluable life skills.
After exploring various options in the area, Towndoor emerged as a beacon of support, swiftly approving the change of use. This marked a pivotal moment for us. Fast forward eight years, and we've grown from zero to over 200 members, spanning ages 4 to 55.
Excitingly, we're already eyeing another location in Huddersfield in the coming years, eager to continue spreading the positive impact of Jiu Jitsu.
