Towndoor invests in new electric vehicle

We are excited to announce that here at Towndoor, we have invested in our first electric fleet vehicle!

At Towndoor, we are very proud of our green credentials, and this felt like the appropriate next step in further reducing our carbon footprint and environmental impact.

Research has shown that electric vehicles are better for the environment. They emit fewer greenhouse gases and air pollutants than petrol or diesel cars. This takes into account their production and electricity generation to keep them running.

‘In over a year, just one electric car on the roads can save an average 1.5 million grams of CO2. That’s the equivalent of four return flights from London to Barcelona.’ – EDF Energy

By investing in an electric vehicle, we are reducing our emissions, carbon footprint, and helping to keep our streets a greener, and a more pleasant place to be.

Our new electric vehicle is used by Bobby who is one of our maintenance assistants here at Towndoor. Our maintenance team are responsible for the upkeep of Towndoor’s estates, and all three team members play a vital role in maintaining our high standards. So, be sure to look out for them when you’re out and about around Meltham and the surrounding areas – you won’t miss us!
