Saturday 6^th November 2021 saw Huddersfield’s finest kick off the PARTY season for the first BAMPAX CHARITY BALL, hosted by Dan Bamforth of Towndoor & Rich Paxman of Paxman at Meltham Mills, Holmfirth in aid of Adoption UK and The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.

The couple who recently adopted their young son, Rory, actively support a number of charities were keen to put on a show stopping event (anything but basic, run of the mill and boring in their own words) to raise much needed awareness & funds for the two charities and ensure all attendees had a night to remember after what has been a tough few years for all.

Dan & Rich are well known for their contribution to the local business community and for their no expense spared parties. Their aim is to raise a minimum £60k via their connections on the night.

The BAMPAX ball started life earlier in the year of 2021, with a 200-guest target, quickly selling out within weeks, the capacity was then increased to 300, immediately selling out once more before being increased again and capped at 450. The organisers and events team were blown away with the demand and were hugely appreciative of the many businesses that came forward donating auction and raffle prizes, some worth thousands, not to mention the 25 strong companies that had sponsored the event alongside the main funders Towndoor and Paxman.

Highlights of the ball featured a jaw dropping firework display by award winning Optimum Fireworks and live PA by 90’s sensation Livin’ Joy whose hits include ‘Dreamer’ arranged by international talent agency MN2S.

We were delighted to announce that the event raised a whopping £58,000 for Charity. 

Both charities, Adoption UK and The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust received an equal split of £29,000 each to help them carry out their vital work in supporting young people and families.
