Universal Motors UK Ltd (formerly Kenworth Products Ltd), started activity in 1992 and is now a leading supplier in the United Kingdom of electric motors and gearboxes who provide their clients with a complete motion control package and full technical support in addition to aftersales expertise.
Universal Motors are part of a group of companies with warehouses in Portugal and Spain with their UK stock being backed up by a group stock of over £8M. Their mission is to cater to their customers ever-changing requirements and in a competitive market, the focus and advantage for them has always been and will continue to be, good service, above everything else. Throughout the history of Universal Motors, as well as standard products they have been known for supplying non-standard products on great lead times and at competitive prices. The Portuguese warehouse has the full manufacturing capability to produce motors, gearboxes, and control panels to customer specifications.
Universal Motors approached Towndoor in need of a more modern, high-quality, and spacious commercial unit with warehouse, workshop, and office space and we provided just that! The company has continued to grow since moving into its current warehouse on our flagship Meltham Mills Industrial Estate.
They have invested heavily in stock and now have a £3M UK stock holding, all available off the shelf for same-day collection, delivery, or standard next day delivery.
Their continued expansion is due to the hard work of their staff and the loyalty and support of their customers. Over the years they have built up a strong team with excellent technical ability and a service-based ethic which is the secret to their success!
