Unit L1 - Full Refurbishment

Unit L1 at Meltham Mills Industrial Estate had been occupied for over 7 years, and with its previous tenant moving on, a full refurbishment was undertaken to bring it up to date.

The refurbishment journey of Unit L1 showcased the importance of practical improvements in creating a functional and attractive workspace for future tenants.

A key part of the refurbishment was the installation of a brand-new roller shutter, providing enhanced security and easy access to the unit. This upgrade ensures smooth daily operations, particularly for businesses that require regular deliveries and shipments.

To improve the facilities, new toilets were installed, ensuring a clean and modern environment for staff and visitors. Additionally, damp proofing was carried out in the kitchen and toilet areas to prevent moisture issues and maintain a hygienic and durable space. These upgrades enhance the overall comfort and usability of the unit, making it a more appealing workplace.

Energy efficiency was also a priority during the refurbishment. LED lighting was installed throughout the offices and warehouse, replacing outdated fixtures. This upgrade not only improves visibility but also reduces energy consumption, making the unit more cost-effective to run in the long term.

The warehouse floor was shot blasted, effectively removing marks and stains that had accumulated over the years. This process has revitalised the flooring, creating a cleaner and more professional environment for future tenants.

A complete redecoration was carried out to refresh the unit’s appearance. Freshly painted walls have brightened up both the office and warehouse areas, creating a clean and professional setting.
