The refurbishment included a new 3-phase electrical installation, full LED lighting to ensure the building improved its environmental efficiency, internal wall adjustments to improve the space use, a complete redecoration, air-conditioning, new staff kitchenette, and flooring throughout the office area. The property had been previously used as an ATV repair workshop and garage; so was in need of a diamond floor grind, clean and shot blast to ensure a fresh new works surface for the incoming tenant.

The incoming tenant was David Brown Tractor Club, who are a special tenant at Meltham Mills Industrial Estate due to the long, rich history between David Brown Tractors and Meltham Mills.

J2 forms part of J Block which is one of the last original buildings from the David Brown era and the tractor club have one of the last production tractors to be assembled in this very building currently in its inventory! A fitting tribute that they have ‘returned home’.

The refurbishment works were successfully completed by Towndoor’s in-house maintenance team and an assortment of trusted contractors including, Metro Group Services, Grahams Plumbing & Heating, Into-Fit Kitchens, Dixon & Franks and Amtiler Decorators.
