Continued Revamp at Meltham Mills Industrial Estate: A New Roof for Units D6 and O3

At Meltham Mills Industrial Estate, we are committed to providing our tenants with safe, efficient, and modern facilities. To uphold this commitment, we recently undertook a major roofing project on Unit D6 and partially on Unit O3. This significant upgrade involved the complete removal of the old single-skin asbestos roof and the installation of a state-of-the-art dual-insulated Kingspan steel cladding roof, complete with new roof lights and gutters.

Out with the Old, In with the New

The old single-skin asbestos roof posed several challenges, including poor insulation, health & safety, and overall inefficiency. By opting for a full strip-off of this outdated roofing, we aimed to eliminate these issues and provide a more secure and comfortable environment for our tenants.

Benefits of the New Kingspan Steel Cladding Roof
  1. Enhanced Insulation and Energy Efficiency: The dual-insulated Kingspan steel cladding roof significantly improves the insulation of the units. This not only helps in maintaining a stable indoor temperature, reducing the need for excessive heating or cooling but also contributes to lower energy bills for our tenants.
  2. Improved Natural Lighting: The installation of new roof lights brings in more natural light, creating a brighter and more pleasant working environment. This can boost productivity and reduce reliance on artificial lighting, further cutting down on energy costs.

  4. Better Drainage with New Gutters: Alongside the new roofing, we have replaced the old gutters with new, efficient ones. This upgrade ensures better drainage, preventing water buildup and reducing the risk of water damage to the units.
