We recently completed the successful re-roofing of one of our industrial units at Meltham Mills Industrial Estate, K1. This project involved the removal of the original asbestos roof and side sheets, which were replaced with modern, insulated Kingspan steel sheets and roof lights. The upgrade not only improved the safety and aesthetics of the unit but also brought numerous long-term benefits for energy efficiency and operational functionality.
Removal of Asbestos Roofing
The first major task of the project was the safe removal of the existing asbestos roof and side sheets. Asbestos, once widely used in construction, poses serious health risks if disturbed. Upgrading to Kingspan Insulated Steel Sheets
Once the asbestos was removed, we installed Kingspan insulated steel sheets for both the roof and side walls.
